The Spring 2008 BoxHeads LAN Party will be different from our previous events. After hosting LAN parties throughout Michigan for the last 6-7 years, we decided it was time for a change. We're stripping away the gimmicks and hype and get back to the gaming. Our ultimate goal is to cut the fat and replicate the fun and excitement of one of our basement LANs in a public event.

The event will take place at the Plainwell Community Center in Plainwell, MI on April 12 from 10am until 10pm. Admission is only $5.

Hell Freezes Over—Duke Nukem Forever Trailer Tomorrow!

This is not a Rickroll: George Broussard of 3D Realms has confirmed that the teaser trailer for the long-awaited Duke Nukem Forever will released tomorrow at around noon CST. The announcement was made today on 3D Realms'' forums.

"Last Saturday we had our annual company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun as usual but it featured one special surprise," explained Broussard. "It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever. After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming."

Monolith Releases Trailer for F.E.A.R. Sequel

Don't call it F.E.A.R. 2—even though that might be a better title. Project Origin is the title for Monolith's follow-up to 2005's successful tactical horror shooter and from the looks of the trailer it's more of the same...but better...or something like that.

As cool as the TF2 trailers have been, what I've really wanted to see is some actual in-game footage to see if it will deliver on the hype. Well, I found these and from the looks of them, this game will be worth the wait!

Valve Announcement: Pre-Purchase The Orange Box, Play Team Fortress 2 Next Week!

Last week, Valve promised a new engineer trailer along with a "big announcement" which would follow. To be really honest, I think I can speak for a lot of gamers when I say hopes were high for trailer, but for the so-called "big announcement" not so much. I mean, c'mon, where there's hype there's usually disappointment, right?

Well, next week is here and the trailer, which is embedded above, has been released and, hey, whattaya know, it turns out the big announcement actually lived up to the hype: PREORDER THE ORANGE BOX AND PLAY THE TEAM FORTRESS 2 BETA NEXT MONDAY!!!1
